Board Member: Claudine Cheng

Claudine Cheng, treasurer of the board of RENEW SF, is an attorney and consultant in the areas of land use and business development. A resident of the Northeast sector of the City since 1987, Claudine is interested in neighborhood collaborations that will result in enhancing the quality of life as well as economic vitality of the area. Claudine brings to RENEW SF eighteen years of community experience. A partial list of her previous activities includes her appointments to the California World Trade Commission, California Housing Finance Agency, and her service as the chair of the Bay Area World Trade Center, Angel Island Immigration Station Foundation as well as board of the Saint Francis Memorial Hospital.

Presently, Claudine serves as president of the Treasure Island Development Authority, director of SPUR and North Beach Citizens, advisor to Charity Cultural Services Center, chair of the Asian Pacific American Heritage Foundation as well as chair of a national campaign to establish a National Center for Asian Pacific American Leadership in Washington D.C.

Throughout the years, Claudine has always been an advocate for building community partnerships, seeking consensus among diverse perspectives, and ensuring the inclusion of citizens input in the process of planning and public policy development.
